Accessibility Statement
Our Commitment
MedWatch is committed to meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level. We are committed to ensuring health data is accessible to all Australians, including those using assistive technologies.
Health Information Accessibility
We are committed to ensuring health data is accessible to all Australians, including those using assistive technologies. Medicine shortage information, PBS pricing, and safety alerts should be available to everyone who needs them — patients, carers, and healthcare professionals alike.
What We Do
- Provide meaningful text alternatives for non-text content
- Ensure sufficient colour contrast between text and backgrounds
- Support keyboard navigation throughout the platform
- Use semantic HTML to convey document structure
- Label form controls and interactive elements for screen readers
- Design responsive layouts that work across devices
- Present data tables with appropriate headers and structure
Known Limitations
We are continuously working to improve accessibility across the platform. Some data tables containing medicine pricing and shortage information may present challenges for screen reader users on smaller viewports. We are actively working to address these issues.
Feedback
